HOW SYMMETRY AND HARMONY MAINTAINED IN THE SITE DEVELOPMENT AND ORIENTATION
The 60 ft wide main road has been further divided into four roads. The two central roads shall incorporate the main vehicular movements within the community.
The other two smaller roads on ether side of the main road shall function as service roads for the plots located on either side to facilitate easy access and removal of vehicles from the site without any disturbance to the flow of vehicles of the main road.
Additionally, there are two changeover points on the main road which join the auxiliary roads and thereby connects the rest of the layout. These changeover points are characterized by circular landscape elements that add both grandeur to the locale as well as ease the vehicular movement in the community.
The entire site will be enveloped with greenery with the addition of a green belt of lush trees and foliage along the plot boundaries. This shall protect the site from dust and noise pollution that may be present in the surrounding areas
Furthermore, the view from any of the villas towards the boundaries shall be of fresh and pleasant vegetation.
The positioning of the houses have been done keeping in regard the sun movements and climatic changes. In the summer months, the sun movement is from a high-angle and during the winter months, the sun movement is from a low-angle. The orientation of the homes is done to use the Sun as a source of free heating in the homes by letting the winter sun in and keeping the harsh heat of the summer sun out.
The orientation towards east and west has its advantages given the climatic conditions of Bangalore, as the desired amount of solar access varies with climate. Similarly, the site also accommodates north-facing living areas for the daytime. Views to the north are an advantage, as north is considered to be the preferable direction to position windows and living areas.
The landscaping for the site has been given much priority and has been done extensively with regards to our ‘Go Green’ motto. The 60ft wide road, with villas on either side, is split down the middle by a central divider which is composed with lush green trees. Furthermore, each side consists of a jogging track as well as a cycling lane, in exclusivity of the main vehicular lane and landscape patch that divide the two.
Thus, the villas shall not directly overlook onto the main road but shall have a landscape patch along with the jogging and cycling lanes before it, giving the space outside the plot a homely and tranquil feel.
